About these terms
PairBrowse is run by PairBrowse Inc. ("PairBrowse", "we", "us"). By using this website or the PairBrowse software you agree to these terms. If you use PairBrowse for an organization, you accept them for that organization too.
PairBrowse is software you install and run on your own computer. There is no PairBrowse account, and we do not operate a service that your browsing passes through.
The software and its licenses
Each part of PairBrowse comes with its own license. Where a license and these terms differ about that software, the license applies.
- Plugin and helper source code (the hooks, the helper and the MCP servers in the public repository): the MIT License. You may use, copy, change and share it, keeping the copyright and license notice.
- The native PairBrowse browser (the PairBrowse browser binaries and PairBrowse's own additions in them): the PairBrowse Binary License. It is free for personal, non-commercial use. Commercial use, redistribution and reverse engineering of PairBrowse's own additions need written permission, except where the law gives you a right that cannot be waived.
- Third-party components inside the browser, such as Chromium, stay under their own licenses, listed in the notices shipped with the app. Nothing here limits the rights those licenses give you.
For a fully open setup, set "browserEngine": "chromium" in ~/.pairbrowse/config.json; PairBrowse then uses an open-source Chromium build instead of the native browser. A plain-language overview is on the licenses page.
PairBrowse Pro
PairBrowse Pro is a separate license from the copyright holder that adds commercial use of the native browser, ready-made builds and updates, and access to the native build's source and build pipeline. It has its own agreement, and these terms do not grant any of it. See pricing for what is available, or write to [email protected].
Acceptable use
PairBrowse is made for the quick sign-ups, registrations and listings that come up while you build a product (developer accounts, app store listings, API keys, store settings), with you in the loop. When you use it, you agree to:
- use it on your own accounts, or on accounts you are authorized to manage;
- accept and follow the terms of each site you use it on;
- not create accounts in bulk;
- not use it to get around a site's CAPTCHAs, bot checks or other security measures. PairBrowse does not solve CAPTCHAs or bot checks and will not integrate solving services; you solve them yourself;
- not do anything else a site does not allow, or anything unlawful;
- not use PairBrowse to harm, deceive or impersonate other people, or to reach systems you have no permission to use.
You stay in charge
PairBrowse lets an AI agent (Claude Code, Codex or another app you connect) work in a browser that is signed in to your accounts. The agent acts on your instructions and on what it reads in pages. You are responsible for what you ask it to do and for what is submitted, paid, published, sent or deleted from your accounts.
PairBrowse asks you before payment, delete, publish, send and final-submit clicks and stops for CAPTCHAs, sign-ins and 2FA codes. These checks catch mistakes and injected instructions, not every possible trick, and prompt injection cannot be fully solved. Read what each confirmation says, and watch the browser on sites you do not trust. The security notes describe the protections and their limits.
Other services
PairBrowse works with services we do not run, each under its own terms: the AI provider and app you choose (for example Anthropic for Claude Code or OpenAI for Codex), the websites you visit, GitHub (where the code and browser builds are published) and Cloudflare (whose Quick Tunnel carries join codes). We are not responsible for those services, and you are responsible for following their terms.
PairBrowse is not made, endorsed or supported by Anthropic, OpenAI or the sites you use it on. Their names are used only to describe compatibility.
Early development
PairBrowse is in early development. Expect breaking changes while the helper, collaboration model and agent integrations evolve, and treat its security model as still maturing. Features may change or be removed.
No warranty
The website and the PairBrowse software are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that PairBrowse will work on any particular site, that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will keep your accounts or data safe from every risk.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither PairBrowse nor the authors or copyright holders are liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from or in connection with the website or the software, or its use, whether in contract, tort or otherwise. This includes lost data, lost profits, account suspensions, purchases, submissions and other actions taken in your browser.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.
Ending
You can stop using PairBrowse at any time by uninstalling the plugin and deleting ~/.pairbrowse. Your rights under the Binary License end automatically if you break its terms; you must then stop using the PairBrowse browser and delete your copies.
Changes
We may update these terms as PairBrowse changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes are noted in the repository. Using PairBrowse after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Severability
If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
